Welcome to The USO
The USO is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to
support the troops by providing morale, welfare and recreation-type
services to our men and women in uniform. The original intent of
Congress — and enduring style of USO delivery — is to represent the
American people by extending a touch of home to the military. The USO
currently operates more than 130 centers worldwide, including ten
mobile canteens located in the continental United States and overseas.
Overseas centers are located in Germany, Italy, the United Arab
Emirates, Japan, Qatar, Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, Guam, and Kuwait.
Service members and their families visit USO centers more than 5.3
million times each year. The USO is the way the American public
supports the troops.
UNICEF helps children receive the support, health care and education
they need to survive the threats of childhood poverty - such as
preventable disease or malnutrition - and grow up to become healthy
adults.

We encourage families to educate girls as well as boys, so both men and
women can play a full role in family life and broader society.

We strive to protect children from violence and abuse, and from
exploitation through child labour or trafficking. We also protect children in
the midst of war and natural disasters, and provide emergency
assistance, usually within 48 hours.

DADDY DAUGHTER DANCE TO
SUPPORT HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Rock County Habitat for Humanity
presents their 3rd Annual Daddy
Daughter Dance on Friday, March 6th,
at the Pontiac Convention Center in
Janesville. The dance is from 6 to 8 PM
and the cost is $30 per couple. Enjoy
hors d’oeuvres, dancing, silent
auctions, and raffles as we raise
money for Habitat for Humanity.
The registration deadline is March 2nd,

JPAC DANCING WITH THE STARS

The Janesville Performing Arts Center
is hosting Dancing with the Stars on
Saturday, May 2nd, and they are
looking for sponsors in our area.
Proceeds from the event support the
Alzheimer’s Support Center in
Janesville. If you are interested in
donating money, being a sponsor, or

HOSPICECARE WINE-TASTING EVENT

HospiceCare Inc. will host its premier
wine-tasting event, Sips & Sounds,
Saturday, March 7th, at the Pontiac
Convention Center in Janesville, from 6
to 10 PM. All proceeds will benefit the
patients and families served by
HospiceCare Inc. Registrations for the
event are $45 per person and are
