TIP #14 - Got Time?
People no longer believe that old axiom “Time is money.”

They know time is much more valuable than money, so they
expect and demand convenience. You’ve got to knock yourself
out making it easy for people to buy what you’re selling. Make
sure your hours of operation and availability mesh with the
needs of your customers.  And never waste your customers’
time.

A great example of not wasting clients’ time comes from an
interior decorating firm that has only four employees.
Amazingly, it does more business than companies with three
times as many employees.

Why?
Instead of making customers come to the shop and pore through literally hundreds of books,
employees interview clients ahead of time and fill out a profile sheet to help them pull samples that
might appeal to the customer.

Then, when clients come in, they have a table set up and a sample bin prepared.  The even have
several little metal luggage carriers, the kind that flight attendants use, for their clients to borrow.

They just load up the sample books, bag the small stuff and strap them onto the carrier.  Clients love
this special treatment.
